I purchased this camera regardless of the bad reviews. I guess I had to see for myself. Everyone has a different opinion, right? Well, they were right. The camera itself has nice features (touch screen, write and add captions to pictures), but does not justify the quality of the pictures and prints. The LCD is very grainy, often with snow, no matter what settings I used. I kept having to adjust settings every time I took a picture. Who wants to stop every time to make sure they have the correct setting. So, this is not just a point and shoot. I have a high end Canon Rebel XT EOS and just wanted a small digital to keep in my purse. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the quality in my high end SLR. I thought Nikon had been around long enough to produce great products. I was disappointed enough that I boxed it up and shipped it back after two days. I went with the Canon Powershot SD780 IS instead and love it!
