Dell Inspiron Mini IM10-2861 10.1-Inch Alpine White Netbook. Got this for my daughter for her birthday. The free shipping was the worst. We have bought other things on Amazon with free shipping and have never had a problem. This took almost two weeks to get here! Besides that, this is a good computer for small things. You cant watch videos, but to check emails, etc. it's good. The touch pad is hard to use. If you are not expecting alot out of a laptop, buy this.

Customer Review: Good System for the Price
I didn't buy this through Amazon, but rather through my local membership-only retailer. That said, the price is roughly comparable and regardless, the system is REMARKABLE. The sound is clear, the volume LOUD, and the quality exceptional. The only things I would change with the system are thus: - Proprietary jacks are lame. I have an oddly shaped room, and the rear left speaker's wire was far FAR too short to reach to where I needed it too. I butt-spliced some 22-gauge wire into the cable and it works fine, but that I had to and didn't have the option to just use another cable wholesale was obnoxious. - All speakers save the central one have only a single hanging peg, and that is annoying if they hang anywhere in reach - even tapping them lightly can push them significantly off-center. A small nail hidden in the assembly screw-well resolved the issue, but isn't super clean. - Boot time is LOOOOONG, and sometimes when switching to USB-mode from anything other than Disc-mode it doesn't load correctly. Disc > USB almost always works, though, but it's a matter of waiting longer than I'd like. - Controls via the remote to the iPod dock are severely limited. Other that those nit-picks, the system is great. Well worth it for an entry-level system, and an excellent upgrade over the built-in speakers on my TV.
Customer Review: Why are we getting the lemons???
We purchased this home theater system right after Christmas. The first one arrived and we hooked it up and .... nothing. No sound whatsoever. Called Philips and they went through all the steps to make sure we had hooked it up right (which we had) and after about an hour they said they would send out another one. Second one arrived, hooked it up and the sound was great....but the DVD player wouldn't play. Called again. Went through everything again. Third one arrived about two weeks later. Hooked it up, sounded great, DVD player worked - happy right? Yes, for about one week and then nothing... no sound at all. Now the DVD player won't open so we can get our movie out! Are we just jinxed or is there something really wrong here? Also, now we have three systems sitting in our house and none of them work and we have to haul them to the post office to return them. Now what I want to know is .. Why would Philips send us out two more systems without us even having to return the ones we had? Makes me wonder if they get these calls all the time and are just throwing them out to people hoping they'll stick. Needless to say we're returning all of them and looking for something else.

I've had this TV for almost 4 months and am very happy with it. The Picture is great for the price, with very vibrant colors and contrasts. The blacks are not as dark as you can find on more expensive TVs, but are as good as you can find in this price range. The DVD is noisy, which is really unfortunate. The Speakers are ok, but nothing great. I'd highly recommend this TV if you are looking for a TV that you will output sound to a stereo receiver. I actually found this at a price less expensive than the model without the built-in DVD player! Also, the high number of HDMI and other inputs is really fantastic. I do not regret this purchase at all!

Customer Review: It works and it is pretty cool!
Bought these so we could play movies and TV shows from the Computer directly on the TV without having to burn onto a CD. You need a converter cable if your computer doesn't have an RCA hook up and it took us an hour or two to figure out that we needed to upgrade the graphics card and put the right dual display settings on the monitor but once we figured it out, it worked perfectly - both audio and video. The picture loses a little quality and sometimes the size of the movie/TV show doesn't take up the whole TV screen but it is pretty cool to watch anything from the computer on any TV in the house in real time. It is instant gratification.
Customer Review: WiFi Savior!
I was using a 2.4Ghz transmitter/receiver but I had to turn off the transmitter every time a started my computer or I would be unable to connect to my WAN. The 5.8Ghz ended that frustration. I do have a 5.8Ghz cordless phone that occasionally switches channels and totally blocks the signal. Solution - pick up phone and hit channel button - much easier than turning off the transmitter and rebooting the computer.

Customer Review: Very functional bag
I bought this bag as an alternative to the traditional backpack because I wanted to be able to travel with a bag securely on my back with no hands needed. It is snug and comfortable to wear and holds my 17" MPB as well as a book, the power supply, and a few other items. There are plenty of pockets to put pens, business cards, change, cash, etc. There are a couple of things to know concerning the bag though. If you have a 17" MBP, the fit is quite tight and it *just* zippers around it. I don't have a problem with this. Also, if you have an iPhone, the pocket on the strap that goes in the front will not fit it. I use it for my ID or whatever else I need quick access to when traveling. I really love this bag. It's just big enough to hold the essentials and it's lightweight. Love all the pockets and compartments, as well as the included bag for accessories. It's a great buy!
Customer Review: Lightweight bag to protect your laptop
This is a great bag! Sturdy and well-padded, but light. It is very small, though - it holds little more than my 15-inch Mac and some papers or small notebooks. I actually appreciate this feature as it makes me carry only what I need, which is easier on my back. It has lots of pockets everywhere, which is also very useful. I think my only complaint is how long the strap is. I'm not a tiny person, but I have the strap pulled as tight as possible and it's still a bit big, plus I've had to rig it to keep the end of the strap from hanging down well past my hip. Overall it's a great bag and I'm happy with my purchase.

This item is OK. You have to wiggle the cord around for your computer to recognize its hooked up to the battery. The cord will lose its place easily, so you will have to make sure its in a good position. For around $20, its a lot cheaper than the DELL adapters, but the quality is a bit lower too.

I was looking for a new camera and this one was irresistible. I had a small Canon elf camera before and just wasn't getting the shots that had a WOW factor. After buying this camera and using at the zoo and the park I am very satisfied. Size This size is bigger than my elf but when you see the zoom lens expand it seems like a marvel. How do they pack this massive barrel in such a small camera? I showed my neighbor my new gadget and he was equally perplexed. How do they do it? Quality The feel is good with plenty of goods to have you going for months. The camera gives you a full line of features that make you feel like you are a professional. I took some pictures at the zoo of 6 kids. My wife told me the picture looks better than actually seeing them there. Now how is that possible I do not know but the color, contrast and skin tones are off the charts. Zoom The zoom is the ultimate feature of this camera. With a 12X optical and 48X digital you are in the driver's seat for some amazing photographs. I found that you rarely need more than 12X anyway. I was considering buying a 24X optical zoom camera that was much larger. After using the 12X I found that is about as much zoom as you want unless you are doing Moon Photography. Really, anything beyond 12X gets distorted from atmospheric conditions. If you take a picture of a landscape you will get a saturation of blue tones so the super ultra zooms are truly over kill in my opinion. Canon SX200 This is a wonderful camera and it should be easy to learn to use it but the instruction booklet stinks. First it is too small and the print much smaller than makes for easy reading. The pictures of the LCD are so dark I have to use a magnifier to see what the icons are. I have 20-20 vision so I suspect I'm not alone with my thoughts. Come on Canon, you make a fine camera but spend a few more bucks and make the booklet easier to read, esp. for the novice trying to improve his photo skills.

The S60 is a smooth operator. The 3 1/2" touch screen works extremely well. Providing quick movement between multiple pictures displays. Its simple to change image or shooting modes and functions. This camera automatically adjust LCD for horizontal or verticle viewing and corrects pix for upright position. Now everyone can get the picture they usually miss. Customer Review: Cool looks, lukewarm performance
I bought this camara for three reasons: the touch screen technology, the sleek design, and it wasn't as pricey is the comparative Sony. I love the sleek design of the Nikon and in my opinion, its one of the better looking slim camaras on the market. But the people at Nikon could have paid a little more attention to detail like the folks at Sony. For example, the power button is exposed, as opposed to the Sony's which has a gaurd so that you don't accidently turn it on/off. This isn't such a big deal, but when you go to places like a theme park, you don't want to worry about your camara accidently turning on inside the case, and running out of batteries (which happened a couple of times for ). It's someting you have to watch out for constantly, which is a bit annoying. Plus, instead of one single flash, the Nikon's is a series of flashes that always manage to blind people. As for the touch screen, its pretty cool, but like the on/off switch, you have to be really careful not to hit the wrong buttons, and its not like I have big oafy finers either. Now, for the most important aspect of any camara. Picture quality. When I first used it, the picture quality was so-so compared to my friends' Sonys and Canons. But after twinkling around with it (and actually reading the manual) I found out there were many different options to make the picture quality improve. After I discovered those options, the picture quality was just as good as any of the aforementioned brands. However, the Nikon seems to be overly complicated for no reason. For example, why not automatically take out red-eyes, or automatically adjust to the environment's lighting? You actually have to manually adjust those things yourself. For everday camara use, I think the Nikon is just a tad bit too complicated and comes with too many little annoyances, like the on/off button. The Sony may be pricier, and the Canon may not be as cool looking, but they both seem to be much more user friendly.

I was looking for a new camera and this one was irresistible. I had a small Canon elf camera before and just wasn't getting the shots that had a WOW factor. After buying this camera and using at the zoo and the park I am very satisfied. Size This size is bigger than my elf but when you see the zoom lens expand it seems like a marvel. How do they pack this massive barrel in such a small camera? I showed my neighbor my new gadget and he was equally perplexed. How do they do it? Quality The feel is good with plenty of goods to have you going for months. The camera gives you a full line of features that make you feel like you are a professional. I took some pictures at the zoo of 6 kids. My wife told me the picture looks better than actually seeing them there. Now how is that possible I do not know but the color, contrast and skin tones are off the charts. Zoom The zoom is the ultimate feature of this camera. With a 12X optical and 48X digital you are in the driver's seat for some amazing photographs. I found that you rarely need more than 12X anyway. I was considering buying a 24X optical zoom camera that was much larger. After using the 12X I found that is about as much zoom as you want unless you are doing Moon Photography. Really, anything beyond 12X gets distorted from atmospheric conditions. If you take a picture of a landscape you will get a saturation of blue tones so the super ultra zooms are truly over kill in my opinion. Canon SX200 This is a wonderful camera and it should be easy to learn to use it but the instruction booklet stinks. First it is too small and the print much smaller than makes for easy reading. The pictures of the LCD are so dark I have to use a magnifier to see what the icons are. I have 20-20 vision so I suspect I'm not alone with my thoughts. Come on Canon, you make a fine camera but spend a few more bucks and make the booklet easier to read, esp. for the novice trying to improve his photo skills.

I bought this lens specifically for a trip to Italy. Ancient cities like Venice tend to be pretty cramped, and it is sometimes impossible to get everything you want on the frame with a regular lens. At first, I had some trouble adjusting to the properties of a lens this wide, but I got some beautiful pictures that would have been impossible with another lens. I would recommend practicing with it before you take any important photos. The lens feels very solid and professional much more so than the lenses that come with most Nikon or Canon kits. The pictures are gorgeous (there is some distortion and vignetting, but nothing to complain about). My original intention was to sell the lens online after the trip, but I just like it too much.

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras If you've never used an ultrawide lens before, you're in for a shock -- and a new challenge. Mount the Sigma (or any other ultrawide) on a DSLR, rack it out to 10-11mm, look through the viewfinder and see an entirely new perspective on the world that is totally different from what the human eye sees. Objects that are close to the camera appear much closer, and distant objects appear to be much farther away. You'll also notice that straight lines toward the edges of the frame bend, and this distortion changes dramatically as you point the camera up or down. It's a whole new world of photography, and making effective use of the ultrawide perspective takes some practice and getting used to. Regarding the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 specifically, it is arguably the most popular among several ultrawide choices available to Nikon and Canon users for several good reasons -- not the least of which is its low price (I recently purchased one from Amazon for my Nikon D90 for $479.99). Construction quality is excellent, particularly for a third party lens. There's nothing loose or sloppy about it, and it feels solid. I especially like the nonslip exterior finish of the zoom and focus rings, which are large and well-separated. Zooming is a little on the stiff side, but very nicely dampened and smooth without any "catches" in the zoom travel. Optically it's a bit of a compromise, like all ultrawides, but Sigma did a good job of balancing them. Overall sharpness is generally quite good, but it's not absolutely tack-sharp. It's noticeably soft, even in the center, at f/4 (especially zoomed out to 10mm). Stopping down to f/5.6 cures this and improves edge sharpness dramatically. Vignetting is also quite noticeable wide open at 10mm, but stopping down a bit virtually eliminates this problem. Distortion at 10 mm is irregular and difficult to correct in post processing, but simply zooming in to 11mm corrects this problem for architectural shots with a lot of straight lines. Lens flare and chromatic aberration that can be problematic with ultrawides are both extremely well managed -- not a problem at all, in fact. In summary, the Sigma 10-20 is a reasonably priced and incredibly useful addition that will open up new photographic horizons for anyone whose current widest angle lens is 17-18mm. For example, it's a perfect complement to the versatile Nikon 18-200 VR lens for anyone who wants to travel light and still have all their bases covered for any photographic eventuality. Other users have accurately described it as a "fun" lens. And it even comes packaged with a nice padded case. Nice touch, Sigma.

I bought this to control my son's Lego NXT (the dongle that Lego sells is over $30!). But it would not connect to the NXT using Windows XP's built-in Bluetooth software. So I installed the BlueSolei software that came with the product and that didn't work either. After about 3 hours of hunting around on the internet and trying various things, uninstalling, rebooting, etc., I eventually found a patched Widcomm 5.0.1.2500 driver that worked. So now I can connect to the NXT but I wish I'd checked on compatibility before having to go through all this hassle.
Customer Review: Does NOT work well out the Box with Blackberry Curve
I purchased the dongle as an add-on to get pictures off of my Blackberry curve onto my laptop. Unlike other phones, the Blackberry will not network with the dongle's software. Basically, you have to transfer each picture file one at a time instead of being able to grab all your picture files at once. The dongle networks with my son's Samsung phone and their may be a way to network the Blackberry but I need to do some web research to find out how. Overall, I am satisfied with the product but wanted to leave feedback that it does not initially work seamlessly with the Blackberry.

I bought this backpack as soon as it was available because I wanted a compact backpack that would hold my netbook, daily necessities, and a few other items. For that, the Mobile Edge has worked nicely; it has a good number of pockets (although I wouldn't mind one or two more), had a padded laptop compartment that was excellent for carrying my Asus EeePC 701 and its powercord, came with a phone carrier and two mesh pockets for water and/or other items, and was comfortable against my back. I carried it all day at a conference and was quite happy with it. Only two problems. One is the styling; it only comes in black, with heavy silver metal ornaments which remind me of motorcycle jackets; I would have preferred something a bit livelier and less heavy (and other colors would be nice). More seriously, the first day I used it, one of the internal pockets tore away from its side seam (I just had a light-weight notebook -- the paper kind -- in it). I sewed it back together, and it seems okay now, but the fact that it tore so easily wasn't encouraging. I'll see how well it holds up over the next few weeks. All-in-all, though, it's a nicely designed backpack for netbook owners.

I purchased this camera regardless of the bad reviews. I guess I had to see for myself. Everyone has a different opinion, right? Well, they were right. The camera itself has nice features (touch screen, write and add captions to pictures), but does not justify the quality of the pictures and prints. The LCD is very grainy, often with snow, no matter what settings I used. I kept having to adjust settings every time I took a picture. Who wants to stop every time to make sure they have the correct setting. So, this is not just a point and shoot. I have a high end Canon Rebel XT EOS and just wanted a small digital to keep in my purse. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the quality in my high end SLR. I thought Nikon had been around long enough to produce great products. I was disappointed enough that I boxed it up and shipped it back after two days. I went with the Canon Powershot SD780 IS instead and love it!

Pros: 1. Light weight Cons: 1. Poorly made: - Within 24 hours of use, the zipper broke (the part that you pull on came off from the zipper track). I hammered the loose part onto the zipper myself to fix it (it was quicker than returning it). - Strap broke within about 3 weeks of use. The strap is attached by plastic hooks with a relatively thin wire clip securing the strap hook onto the bag handles (SEE THE PICTURES). The wire bent, came out of its holes and no longer secures the strap hook in place, leading to me dropping my laptop a few times, whenever the strap hook unhinges itself. - The zipper handle broke again, leading to me loosing the part after about 4 weeks of use. 2. I personally do not like the fact that the main laptop compartment opens up completely, 180 degrees rather than from the top only. This was especially aggravating when the zipper broke and everything inside could fall out.

It's what I expected. My laptop and the ac power pack fits inside the thin case. The case is about 18" wide. I wish that the extra zipped pack would open up completely, but it works for me.

This thing is pretty cool -- definitely gets the laptop up off of whatever surface you're using (table, desk, lap, etc.) and definitely provides a constant rush of air to whisk away heat generated by your computer's processor. The cooling mechanism is audible but not intrusive, and you can most assuredly feel the breeze as warm air is pushed out to the sides of the device. The added "tilt" is also a nice feature, because as for me, it puts the laptop into a slightly-improved position in terms of typing. Recommended without hesitation!
Customer Review: Nice while it lasted...
I've owned this cooling pad for approximately three months. While it worked, the product did a decent job cooling my laptop (4/5 stars). However, this product will not win any awards for its build quality. For the past several days, the fan started to act up, making a horrendous racket that caused the cooling pad to vibrate. I've heard this problem before with one of the fans in a harddrive enclosure. Problem is, the harddrive enclosure is more than three years old. I expected to receive more than 90 days of service from this Belkin product.
